A Winter's Aria - Press Release
February is the month of love and the Vernon Community Music School's Winter's Aria Charity dinner and ball invites guests to experience an evening of luxury.

Upon arrival guests wil hear the inviting sound of the harp while enjoying a cocktail and browsing the exciting silent auction items up for bid. Entrance into the Prestige Inn grand ballroom will bring the beautiful sounds of a string quartet, candlelight and flowers. The evening's menu will include the savoury tastes of a prime rib buffet followed by Victor Noakes of Antique Imports directing a live auction allowing diners to bid on thrilling items.

Delicious desserts will be served during an intimate concert featuring beautiful love ballads from Phantom of the Opera and Sting as well as a virtuoso piano sonata. The evening will then allow for guests to take a turn on the dance floor as the Legendary Lake Monster Band
takes to the stage until midnight.

The Vernon Community Music School has been serving Vernon and Area for over three decades. The students that have gone on to persue music as a career and as a life long passion are too many to mention. Many students have gone on to perform nationally and internationally. The beautiful building that houses the school is a heritage home that sits proudly at the top of East Hill in Vernon.

Slowly but surely this gorgeous home that was built by the Smith Family in 1908 is deteriorating and in dire need of repair. The costs of restablizing the basement, reconstructing the verandah's, painting, roofing and so many other areas is too big for families of the school to do on their own. The Vernon Community Music School is reaching out to the citizens of the North Okanagan. Anyone who has had a child or grandchild walk through the doors of this grand old house, anyone who loves music and wants to see the school be a place where families of our community can continue learn and grow musically, this Gala event is for you.

You are invited to be our special guests and in return you will not have only had a wonderful evening, you will be giving back to The Vernon Community Music School, our musical home and yours.
