POWER 104 PRESENTS
Trailer Park Boys
Ricky, Julian and Bubbles from Showcase's Gemini Award-winning hit show Trailer Park Boys are touring the Canada in their brand new theatrical The Ricky, Julian and Bubbles' Community Service Variety Show coming to the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre, Tuesday November 24, 8pm.
The 75-minute show has The Boys fulfilling their community service requirements by performing a puppet show at each tour stop demonstrating the dangers of using alcohol and drugs. In usual Trailer Park Boys fashion, things go awry and the three find themselves up to their old antics, fighting, partying and singing a few songs. Filmed in Halifax, Trailer Park Boys is a top-rated Canadian series and has become a Canadian pop culture phenomenon that has now grown into international success. The 'mockumentary' revolves around the adventures of Ricky (Rob Wells), Julian (John Paul Tremblay) and Bubbles (Mike Smith) and focuses on the misadventures of a group of trailer park residents living in fictional Sunnyvale Trailer Park located near Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. The series remains a huge success on Showcase and has been broadcast worldwide including in the US where BBC America aired a censored version of the show. In 2006, Trailer Park Boys: The Movie was released and was the highest grossing film in Canada for its first weekend in release. The 2nd movie will be at a theatre near you soon!
'The Ricky, Julian and Bubbles Community Service Variety Show' is a live theatre show performed, in character, by Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay and Mike Smith.
