Casablanca Film Screening
Haiti Fundraiser by Kal Rotary
Imagine having your entire home and contents destroyed, and the same for all your neighbours. That's how a British Rotary club created the vision for the famous Shelter Box - a heavy duty plastic container with enough hardware for 10 people to sustain themselves for months. In ten years almost a million of these have gone to those hardest hit by earthquakes, floods and tsunamis.
Kalamalka Rotary urges you to continue to stand by Haitians, before the rainy season starts in April. The evening's entire proceeds go to Haiti, with every box delivered on the ground by volunteer Rotarians. One of these ShelterBoxes will also be on display at the Performing Arts Centre.
The famous movie line - "here's looking at you, kid" was our inspiration for screening CASABLANCA - one of the great movie classics. Join us for a fun night knowing that your participation is what makes ShelterBox a world-wide success.
