Beloved by Okanagan audiences, pianist Ian Parker returns—this time to the podium—to lead a program focused on Felix Mendelssohn. Following last season’s performance of his Italian Symphony, Parker conducts the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra in Mendelssohn’s dramatic Scottish Symphony. Pianist Roman Rabinovich, winner of the Arthur Rubinstein Competition, takes us on a journey with Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1.
Program
Beethoven: Egmont Overture
Mendelssohn: Piano Concerto No. 1 in G Minor
Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 3, Op. 56 in A minor “Scottish”
