Join us for an evening and afternoon where classic literature meets choral artistry. Shakespeare and Friends celebrates music inspired by the Bard that span eras, styles, and voices.
The program features Ralph Vaughan Williams’ spirited In Windsor Forest, a choral suite brimming with charm, humor, and lyricism. Enjoy the jazz–infused harmonies of George Shearing’s Music to Hear, followed by the vivid storytelling and expressive textures of Matthew Harris’ Shakespeare Songs.
AURA is proud to showcase an original work by choir member Dan Osborn, adding a fresh creative voice to the evening. Enjoy lively madrigals and the lush, heartfelt sounds of David Dikau’s If Music Be the Food of Love—a beloved setting that perfectly captures the theme of the night.
We are also delighted to welcome the Seaton Honour Choir, under the direction of Lana O’Brien, as they bring their youthful energy and artistry to this celebration of music and poetry.
