Mackie Lake House presents Cascadian folk duo West My Friend in a live, outdoor concert on the shores of Kalamalka Lake. Mingling grassroots guitar, accordion, flute and vocal harmonies, West My Friend has a sound that is both folksy and musically sophisticated. Unpretentious and warm, it’s rare to hear something as put-together as this folk duo - something so layered, deeply symphonic, and baroque.
Mackie Lake House presents steadfast Canadiana bluegrass duo Moranz & Fremlin in a live, outdoor concert on the shores of Kalamalka Lake. Multi-instrumentalist Ryland Moranz and mandolin aficionado Dan Fremlin champion the love and spirit of a disappearing art. Evoking a simpler ethos of string and timber; smoke and dew, joy, sorrow and the remembrance of all we hold most dear.
