The Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce invites community members to attend an All-Candidates Forum on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at the Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre.

This non-partisan event provides voters with an opportunity to hear directly from candidates about the issues affecting local businesses and the broader community.

Moderated by Sonja Harkness, Executive Director of the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, the forum will include candidate opening statements, five moderated questions, closing statements and voter information. Speaking times will be carefully managed, and the order of responses will rotate to ensure each candidate has an equal opportunity to participate.

All declared candidates are invited under the same terms and are expected to keep their remarks respectful, relevant and focused on the questions being asked.

The forum is organized and moderated by the Greater Vernon Chamber of Commerce, with sponsorship support from the Association of Interior REALTORS® and Okanagan College. Sponsorship does not constitute an endorsement of any candidate or political position. The Chamber retains full responsibility for the format, questions and moderation. Opinions expressed by candidates are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of the Chamber or the event sponsor.
